Project details and goals

Social entrepreneurship is a dynamic and multifaceted approach to addressing pressing social and environmental issues within society. At its core, it involves the application of entrepreneurial principles and innovative thinking to create sustainable solutions that not only benefit communities but also generate financial returns. One key aspect of social entrepreneurship is its emphasis on innovation. Social entrepreneurs are constantly seeking out new and creative ways to address complex societal problems. They may develop novel business models, technologies, or approaches that challenge traditional methods and bring about positive change in their communities.

Participants were representatives from persons with disabilities, students, youths and business owners. With resource persons such as Judah Habila (CEO elitehosting), Nancy Yeri (Gender Specialist GIZ Ghana), Alkassim Zangina Muhammad (Center for Communication Development and Diplomacy in Africa (CCDDA) and Wilson Oserada (Director Window on America).

Project Outcomes

The outcomes of youths learning about social entrepreneurship can have a profound impact on both the individuals themselves and the communities they are a part of.

Here are some key outcomes of the youths learning social entrepreneurship:


Empowerment: Empowered youths to believe in their capabilities to create positive social change and make a difference in their communities. They developed a sense of agency and realised their potential to address social and environmental issues.


Increased social awareness: Through social entrepreneurship education, they gained a deeper understanding of social and environmental issues affecting their communities and the world. They became more socially aware, empathetic, and conscious of the impact of their actions on society.


Enhanced problem-solving skills: The youths learnt to identify, analyse, and address complex social challenges. They developed critical thinking skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and resilience in the face of obstacles.


Leadership development: Learning about social entrepreneurship helped the youths cultivate leadership qualities such as initiative, empathy, communication, and collaboration. They gained experience in leading projects, inspiring others, and driving positive change within their communities.


Social impact: The ultimate outcome of the youth learning social entrepreneurship is the creation of tangible social impact. By applying their knowledge and skills to develop innovative solutions, the youths positively impacted the lives of individuals, families, and communities, addressing social inequalities and contributing to a more sustainable future.
